Is it possible to use an inverter or transformer to use a 3 phase on a domestic supply?
Is it possible to use an inverter or transformer to use a 3 phase on a domestic supply?
Do you have a link to the inverter required pleaseA brief look suggests a 7000W 1 to 3 phase inverter or 3 phase generator will cost more than your 7000W pressure washer.
Do you have a link to the inverter required please
Thank you but this has maximum load of 5.5kwSTC7.5KW Static Single to Three Phase Converter 5.5kW/7.5hp
7.5kW or 10hp Static Single to Three Phase converter. Produces a 3 phase output from a single phase input.www.simplypowersupply.com
And it would not plug into a normal socket
If it's 240V, it is unlikely to be 3ph, it'll still be 1ph. You'll need a 32A supply and suitable cables and sockets if you want to use
Model: | Lavor MCHPX 1211 LP |
Max. Pressure: | 2900 PSI / 200 BAR |
Delivery Rate: | 900 Litres / Hour |
Power: | 7000W 1450 RPM |
Voltage: | 230V ~50Hz |
Weight: | 42kg |
Datasheet is here:What do I need to run 230v 50z 7000w machine from a domestic supply please
That link is not the oneDatasheet is here:
I think there's maybe a mix of models going on, the MCHPV 1211 LP is 3kW 230V so would be ok on a domestic mains socket.
Edit: Difference between the V and X seems to be either a plastic housing or a stainless steel housing?
MCHPX 2015 LP modelThat link is not the one
It's a 3ph 400V version.I know I can run 3kw on domestic plug socket. I want to know what I need to run 7kw from a domestic plug socket to run MCHPX 2015 LP machine
I'm not looking to save money I'm looking for a way to not use petrol and reduce noise. Reducing petrol is a cost issue not ecoIt's a 3ph 400V version.
At the very least you would need a 240V 50Hz to 3ph 440V 50Hz convertor, similar to the one linked a few posts above - and then you would still need a 32A rated single phase supply.
You've likely going to be easier getting something like a 10kW 3ph diesel generator to power it.
Plus it's not 3 phaseI'm not looking to save money I'm looking for a way to not use petrol and reduce noise. Reducing petrol is a cost issue not eco

I'm after a solution to be able to run it off a domestic plug. Via inverter or transformerIf it's 7kw and single phase then you can ask an electrician to install it as you would ask them to install a 7kw electric shower or car charger
You will not be running it off your normal plug sockets.

you need at least a 30 amp phase converter capable of 400v output and a 32a ring main to connect it to. you CANNOT run it off a domestic plug.I'm after a solution to be able to run it off a domestic plug. Via inverter or transformer
