How many weeks of food do you have stored?

As well as your 6 weeks of stored food, have you got stored, safe drinking water? Long term ability to cook? To dispose of waste (human and otherwise)?

Just wondering what level of apocalypse (on a range from having difficulty shopping to fighting off zombies) you're preparing for.

I don't deliberately store any food. I have about a week's worth.
If I ate up random cans from multibuys of soup or whatever, probably a second week's worth.
Then I'd be getting hungry, and sick of soup.

Proper food - probably about a week's worth (or 2-3 if we were happy just eating rice!).

However my cat brings enough presents that I reckon we could survive for a good few years (until she dies), as long as we didn't mind eating rats and birds :p

If I needed a pump for water I'd have bottles stored, when the storms hit up here some were without water for several days.

During the storms I did realise that out smallish wood burner is big enough and hot enough to boil water so my tea need was satisfied. That's all that counts really. :)

So I'm not prepping, if I were I'd buy a compost toilet and a bow.

If there was a full blown nuclear war, it would be like going back to the stone age.

No safe water, energy, medicine, food, everything would be polluted and destroyed. To rebuild even basic services would take decades. On top of that survivors fighting one anther. Umm, no thanks.

I don't stock pile, if I ate up everything in the cupboard, freezer, splitting up the food to make a meal, it would last a couple of weeks. I like to buy and use up food rather than store in the freezer for months. You could theoretically stretch it out to weeks if portioning to survive.
