This days we have ridiculous amount of storage available. Up to 4TB hard drive and 1TB SSD but do you check how much you actually use? Or when you build/buy pc do you consider how much you will require or u just go for the biggest you can afford.
I was looking to buy new ssd to replace my 500GB and I was shocked to see I only use 71GB so I'm curies how much internal storage people have and how much of that they actually use .

Can Mod please add Poll

240GB SSD
Having to start to move games to my external drive temporarily until I can get a new SSD
Will probably then go for a 1TB drive for OS and games

I then also have 300GB worth of SD movies and about 100GB and counting worth of 1080p movies
Again, I am in need of more. A NAS is the next step

Just about to change over from my 1TB SSHD to a 500GB boot/multiplayer games SSD with the 1TB for single player stuff. Been keeping quite tidy and deleting stuff after I've finished so only used approx 450GB

60gb ssd windows
2tb split into 4 partitions...films,photos
750gb momentus 2.5"..steam,wow,other games (steam takes up 594gb)

Would like another 2/4tb for storage.

Are we counting storage drives, boot drives, a mix of all? Confused...

Picked 60-80% in poll because my main desktop's main (C) drive is about 3/4 full at the moment but not really sure that's the right one to look at?

500GB primary drive with games, music and OS about 150GB left

Have a 320GB passport drive that I occasionally back up music to.

Probably have 30TB accessible on the network.

25 of that is split between 2 NAS, running redundancy, so 25TB is down to around 16TB.

3TB as Apple time Capsule
1TB inside iMac for OS
4TB external Thunderbolt running RAID 1 so effectively only 2TB.

Generally, when it hit around 70% to 80% mark I will expand.

Didnt even think about other pcs...

1TB on my iMac which 3/4 full, same in rMBP (music, films, work, etc)
2TB time capsule
2TB network storage for films etc not currently on phone/ipad

Currently inside my PC:
120gb SSD - OS + Programs
256gb SSD - Steam + other games
500 GB HDD - everyone else

The HDD has 6GB free and the 256GB SSD has 17GB free.

Got 2 x 2TB drives in a HP ML110 server in RAID though, so I'm now sorted :D
