How much do you save a month ?

I don't actively save.

Equivalent of 20% (4.5% by myself) paid into a pension.
My current account just accumulates money, when I've a few thousand I bosh it into savings or my credit union account or something, couldn't even tell you how much I have in savings to the nearest thousand. I live way below my means, can't remember the last time I needed to touch my savings.

I've some stakes in small companies as well which I barely keep track of, little bit of income but the actual value of those stakes today? No idea, we're pretty informal.

The joys of being single and childless, you have so much money you lose track of it.

£0.00 in savings. £0.00 in pension.

We dont have a lot of money left over after the essentials, and due to how hard we work we spend it enjoying ourselves (modestly I might add - a few drinks and a takeway at the weekend etc).

That may well be changing if a baby comes along though. I foresee me working even more hours as the better half will need to give up work in the interim.

The net result will still be £0.00 in pension and savings! :p

Additionally, I find this kind of thread interesting as it highlights the differences between many members of the forum - and of wider society.

Some people here are saving more in a month than I earn!

I am a student :(

But my parents save about 4k, cant remember what they contribute to pensions though.

This is only recently though, due to change of mortgage plan... They just save up cash and bombard it into mortgage every 2-3 months since there are no fees/penalties for it.

So true! I save very little unfortunately.

About £100/month into an ISA, but for the last 2 months £10/month as I just bought a new car and my finances are still settling! :D

Saving around £200 a month into an ISA at the moment. Quite easy when I'm still in school at my parents pay for my accommodation and food. :D It leaves me another £200 for gadgets, girlfriend and going out.

It's depressing that a lot of people in this thread save more in a month than I earn in a month. :(

Some of the guys are older, have progressed further in their careers, are a little luckier or just are better at managing their money, or even still live at home with their parents whilst earning a decent salary. Don't fret. As long as you can make ends meet, then that's all that matters.

Nothing, all cash goes on to debt's or mortgage, trying to make a big dent in it.

If we want or need something then we get it and pay less off :)

A lot of you save more than I make!

£0 atm as I'm still having to lend my dad money. Will hopefully start saving £200/300 a month after.
