how much does it cost you to get to work?

Why the heck do you drive 1 minute? Why not walk?!

As he said it costs him nothing id assume he walks

About 5% of my monthly wage to get to and from work JUST in petrol about 6.5% including insurance

If I have to get the train this goes up to approximately 18%

£200 petrol / month works out to 12%.

But then there's tax insurance and maintenance, so call that £1200 a year (maybe even 1500 as it is not a new car 04' 182), so more like £300 / month

So more like 17% in total getting to work, god I spend too much getting to a job I don't entirely enjoy!

Flip side, potential move to Birmingham and getting the bus to work will hopefully save me £250 a month (£50 bus ticket/month perhaps) so 15% more money in my pocket! :)

I'm so looking forward to a bus commute you have no idea, 1 hour each way along A/B roads puts so much cognitive strain on my brain , it totally wipes me out when i get home, especially in winter months when its dark, constant glare arrgh!!

I get a car share with a few colleagues from work; the driver charges £1 per each way so assuming it's a 4 week month it's £40 pcm. So 2.05% a month on my take home.

Kinda hard to define. I own the company and the company has generously decided to give me a company vehicle ;)

As I have a fuel card I'm not 100% sure what the bill runs to each month, probably a lot :( .

105 miles per week.
mk1 Focus does 350 miles per tank.
Petrol is on average £1.25p

Around £80 per month.

About 8%
