How much does your Commute cost you?

Woah, I bet your wage feels a lot nicer without that coming out of it!

Well, I now need to pay rent and bills (flat share) but it's nice to have it coming out all at once, giving me a better idea on how much I have to live off for the rest of the month.

The best thing about it is that the cost of living closer to work is actually less than my monthly petrol costs + the cost to live at home, so it made sense to move. I do miss my Mum though (:o :D)

Not to mention the time I get back too! I can quite easily add another 2 hours onto my day that I would have previously spent travelling.

It used to be £60 a week on fuel, when I was driving 35 miles each way, 5 days a week.

Then I moved (to a better paid job), that was 10 miles each way, dropping me down to around £20 a week.

The job I've just accepted is just over a mile away, and will probably end up being around £20 a month.

16p return on the bus, if I wake up too late to walk down to uni. China \o/

At home, I was always living close enough to uni to walk, and the only job I've had where I sometimes had to travel laid on transport for us. Think I've had it pretty easy so far.
