How much gas and electric do you use?

I just got the utility bills through and my electric seems fine at 800 units for the quarter but my gas is at 6600kWh for the quarter, that seems really high, only 2 people in the house and the heating is on for about 6 hours a day, there is a water cylinder, which is heated when the heating is on as far as I can tell.

It's been a cold couple of months. Check the meter and phone them up with an accurate figure just in case.
 
My quarterly elect usage was 1200 units lol, but then again i have a large house and its occupied all day.
I use oil and use about 2200litres a year (1 tankful)
 
according to my monitor gadget thingy... I've used 292KWHr's in the last 30 days.. and that'll probably drop somewhat over the next few weeks as we come out of the cold time, and into warmer weather.. so, on average, probably about 220KWHr's a month
 
We have used far far too much over winter.

Our bill has just come in, and for the gas we are averaging £130.00 per month, the electric is about £65.00 per month.

Mind you, this is a Big old house, so im not surprised the gas is so high, the wife and kids have been at home all day every day and they need to keep warm bless em.
 
my gas bill was 38 pounds for 2 months 1134 kwh 56 days my electricity was £49 for 3 months, 132 kwh and 272kwh is 404kwh

My missus is at home all day. Our gas and electric combined was £112 for the cold cold month of December. For a small, but 4 bedroom, house.

Seems like a lot. But I don't ever sit in a cold house just to be ***** about the bill .. it's too uncomfortable!

Mines only a one bed flat, if you are talking a house and have had the heating on a hell of a lot, lt would be comparable to my very high readings. Luckily the last 4 days the heatings hardly been on, and someones moved in downstairs which have risen my temps by a degree or two.. free heat :D

for 3 months and 4 students, electric was a smidge under £40, and gas was a whopping £140.

CBB to check the meters they take loads of effort to get to, also don't have any previous readings so quite a pointless endevour.
 
My God some of the figures I've seen on here are ridiculous!!

Last bill I paid 21 pounds in gas for a 3 week period and I paid just under 30 last month for our electricity, and we have plenty of gadgets.

Apart from those of us who live in old houses with poor insulation, you guys should keep an eye on your gas usage. We have ours set to 20C on average when we're home during the day, and even that gets sometimes too hot.
 
i live in an upstairs flat....no one downstairs...got energy saving bulbs, lcd tv...2 pc's but when im on mine i switch the tv off....g/f has an older pc...a fridge.... we spend 55-60 pounds a month on electricity,phoned supplier and they said it was correct...i can spend 3 pound a day on electricity when im not even at home.....????
 
Just used i would guess 500l of oil in the last month, hope we dont get any more cold spells
and our elec is around 200 per quarter, we have no gas
