How much gas and electric do you use?

Myself and my wife in the house, we use slightly more than £70 a month on NIE expensive electric (can't change in NI), and around £450 a year on oil fired central heating, we have no gas. I'd think we might spend £100 more this year on oil due to cold speel lasting and being deeper.

So estimated fuel bill for the year of approx £1300.

Just got the bill through, gas was about £160, electric about £60 for the quarter, split between two of us. Three times more gas used this quarter than the previous one :o

Just over 100 a month (gas+electric) this quarter (triple what we usually pay) for a 4 bed house. Ouch! I thought ours was high until I read this thread!

I suspect my small 2 bed place has next to no insulation (renting, so can't really do anything about it), as my 'leccy monitor says i'm using about 20kWh per day (no gas), and that keeps the place about 16 degrees upstairs, 12 degrees downstairs. Can't wait for the warm weather to return, it costs a fortune living here!

£25 a month for electricity
£35-40 a month for gas. Averaged out obviously over the year.

Large 4 bed house.

It's a real benefit having zonal temp settings for the house and saves us a far bit of money on heating I'm sure.

Just me living in a 2 bed house; moved in 6 weeks ago and have used 207kw/h of electricity and 158 cubic m of gas (approx 1770kw/h)

i was just searching about similar thing.

im moving out soon(parents). and i was doing a budget.

its going to be a 1 bed flat.

how much would i be looking to pay a month for gas and elec on average for 1 person

we have three of us in the house, me my girlfriend, and the babee. we go through 58 quid of leccy a month. so i guess its not too bad. the air con unit is on about 16hrs a day everyday. other than that we dont use much electric unless were in like now watching telly. the air con heats most of the house though. we couldnt really afford an oil tank and to fill it every few months.
