Call of duty black ops 3, i use CAM software for my grid+ and it shows usage of cpu/gpu. my 780ti use's 1.75.gb of ram @ 1440 ultra setting. just because you think you need loads of ram docent mean you do.

GPU ram is just the system ram debate, you need 8gb to game 16gb to be safe for a few years but ppl still put 32gb in a gaming.

You're basing it on one game! :D

2GB is nowhere near enough at 1440p.

2GB is nowhere near enough at 1440p.

Fallout4, BF4, BF:hardline, sims4, titanfall, fifa16
there the games that run on the system at 1440 max setting.

the one game is the game i was playing at the time i did the post, the card as 3gb and i didn't said 2gb was all thats needed. i said that you dont need a stupid amout of ram for game at 1440... the R9 290/x are VERY good at 1440 ras and only have 4gb. if i remember right they was made with 1440 as a target res.

My vote went to 8gb as you will never need it for 1440.

...Just noticed you have a 1440 monitor and a 6gb GPU, do you have to run at 1080? because you would need what 32gb to run 1440 lol

I run it at 1440 because I have a 6GB GPU. In fact, the reason I have a 6GB GPU is because I have a 1440p monitor.

Tell you what, why don't you start a thread stating that you're buying a new 1440p monitor and take suggestions on which GPU to pair it with. See how many people suggest a 2GB card.

your upset right because you spent a lot on a card you didn't need? :D
4gb is fine for 1440 right now. a nano would be overkill that would be 16gb??? ooo no that's right 4gb

You don't even have a 4GB card, but you're the expert. And yes, I'm upset. No worries. You da man.

That's right i don't have 4gb and i run 1440 max setting, i think you finally get my point :D:D:D.
Well Done! send me you info and al drop you sweet in the post.

no!
no!
no!
you da man ;)

Would just like to say, at 4K resolution I have yet to see any significant FPS difference between my 3GB 780TI and my 8GB 390X. I imagine it may come into play in a very detailed game such as The Witcher 3, but with a game like that, you would encounter other issues with it playing smoothly at 4K besides a lack of VRAM...
