Having just finished Uni I started my first full time job last week and I have to say I'm finding it an expensive business! A day ticket on the bus costs me £3.50 then at dinner I need to buy something to eat and a drink so that's about another £3.50. If you tot it all up that's about £35 a week which when your only just starting working and not earning a great deal and waiting for that first pay packet that's a fair chunk!

Anyway just thought I would ask what the rest of you spend out of curiosity. :p

Make your own lunches, use water sport bottles, buying a bus pass, could save a fair bit.

I walk half-hour there and back and make my dinners when I have no money or Don Millers when I'm flush :p

depends really! I walk to work so that's cheap :p If I can't be bothered to make some dinner at home, I'll buy it at work so that's like 2 or 3 quid a day. Can be expensive if you work it out i guess.

14 miles petrol (approx)
50p every other day for some Ready Salted McCoys
60p every now and again for some orange Lucozade

Left to my own devices I cycle to work. However at the moment the company require me to have a car, but the car allowance covers the running costs so still its nothing for me to get to work.
Lunch is generally soup and a pitta, or chicken and a salad. So around £12 a week on food. Luckily they provide the coffee, otherwise it would probably end up double.

Usually 5-7 / day for food and 2.50 for travel so around 50 a week.
Started cycling again today to try out some of the electric bikes we got in, makes life a lot easier :)

£60ish a month to get to work and back. about £8 a week for lunch ( I take it in). Then £0.30-£1.30a day (newspaper or Newspaper + beef jerky)

hmmm it costs me £12 to get to work in fuel, and i get £25 a week fuel allowance... so it er... doesnt cost me anything. :)

as for at work.... coffee, coffee, coffee, coffee, coff..... repeat for 8 hours.

yeah i spend about 2 hours at the coffee machine.

£196.40 for the train each month
£2.50 for breakfast each day
£5.00 for lunch each day
£28 for gym and BBC club membership per month (I'm counting this because it's on site and I sometimes have lunch or go for drinks after work there as well as going to the gym).

Works out roughly at about £63 a week.

£5 per day for a bus ticket a some food from the vending machine. It used to be £15+ a day until I caught a grip on myself.

:D

I spend on average £70 a week on fuel as I drive 80 miles a day to and from work, and then probably £3 a day at work... So whats that... £4100 a year at the moment.
