How much of an ungrateful barsteward should I be?

Just got this;

BFG RMA Status page said:
BFG RMA Status

Stage 1: Your full RMA number is XXXXXXXXX
Stage 2: Your RMA was received in the BFG Warehouse on 2009-03-09 05:42:08
Stage 3: Your RMA was processed in the BFG Warehouse on 2009-03-10 12:04:24 and has already shipped.

So not only are they giving me a freebie upgrade, but they turned it around in 48 hours - should be with me tomorrow!:D

How good is that?

I do have 5 other GTX280's and a GTX295 registered with them, so they know I'm a good customer. Even so, I am genuinely gobsmacked how well I have been treated by BFG. It really does set a stromg standard for anyone else to match.

I can second this, i have 4 gfx cards and a motherboard registered with them and the way they handle rma's and any other issue with me is outstanding

He's not complaining! :p

Walter is just getting peoples opinions, I think he feels a bit guilty for having some luck when there is so much hardship and suffering going on around him!

I'm a gamer (almost Pro honest!) and I'm struggling along using integrated graphics atm! :o

Adapting to my situation I find myself playing Half-Life:Source!

Being a natural *Optimist* I am chuffed that I am able to get this classic game running at 1920x1200 with smOOth frame rates, always wanted to play this game! :)

Hopefully this gives you some perspective Walter!

Lol Wayne!

I recently was in the position of running a FireGL card that was equivalent to a Radeon 9600 Pro, and actually, I played through the majority of Half Life 2 with it!!

A 9600gt doesnt seem as good as 8800gts to me, I guess if it had more memory it would be something

Im on a nv6800 since my card melted itself
The hl2 engine just works well on a lot of even low cards I can testify to that since I used to play css on a ti4200. Just as well I dont really play any modern games I guess, I dont know if l4d would work tbh

That integrated graphics sounds amazing, a lot better then I remember it being. Ive not used decent ig since the old 4 series nvidia boards, is it a really high end board?

It could be better for that reason, nvidia obviously could make a nice onboard chip but choose not to and intel may compete with them very well (relatively) as part of their 'cpu should power everything' great idea however flawed that may be

Also heard recently nvidia considering a x86 chip

9600 PRO was excellent at the time, and it could handle Half Life 2 at the common resolutions of the time as far as i remember.

Yep, but I was playing with High Details across the board and at 1440x900! How's that for a result!

Also, HL2 and its episodes still has one of the best storylines in gaming, ever. I would recommend anyone to play through all the games, and even Half Life Source.

Will you swap your GTX 280 for my 8800GTX.... just kidding lol (so many ridiculous posts in this thread!)

That is some fantastic customer service from BFG, theoretically once you have bought a pair of cards, you are set for life! With a warranty that long and an upgrade as a replacement you could keep going forever!

p.s WJA96, you have the patience of a saint!
