How Much Sleep Do You Need ?

I used to need 8hrs+ sleep a night otherwise I would feel tired all day long. Now I can get by on 3 or 4 hrs at a time as I do split shifts and have got used to working that way.
 
On school days, I usually get 5 hours of sleep.

On weekends, that's a different matter! Last night I slept at 2AM, and today I woke up at 4PM, and the thing is, no alarm clock was able to wake me up, I automatically turn them off without noticing. :confused:
 
I need a lot more than i'm getting now i'm physically exhausted. I work 2-4 days a week as well as going to uni during the day. I reckon about 8 hours a night would be a good amount for me, maybe one day.
 
Varies, Normaly I sleep from around 12 - 8, so 8 hours, but dependant on the day I sometimes Sleep 4-8 or 10 - 8, I can function on very little sleep, but I prefer to get plenty, I tend to take naps during the day, e.g If I get a free hour I will take a 20min nap and it just gives me a good boost of energy.

Once upon a time I could function for days on end with no sleep at all, but then I couldent get to sleep so that could be why :(
 
I aim for 7-8 hours but i can feel fine with less. But sometimes i try and aim for more. I got 7 hours last night, came home from work and had a 1 hour nap or so to ensure i felt perkier tonight for a party type thing.
 
8-9 is ideal, and if I sleep until I wake up naturally (as I do on weekends) then I usually get about 10 hours.

I'm an extreme "owl", though; I find it virtually impossible to be tired before about 4-6am, and find it extraordinarily difficult to be alert and awake before about 12pm—which understandably sucks when I have lectures :(
 
I try to get at least 8hours in the week.. From 11.30 till 7.30, a little bit more if possible! At the weekends I get around 10 hours unless I'm out the night before...
 
I have been really bad recently.

My mother thinks i may be coming down with Diabeities or something, as i sleep constantly through the day, and then sleep at night.

Up at 8:30, College untill 1 say on a monday, 1-5 will be sleep time. Go to bed around 12, 12-8:30 sleep time. Which seems rather weird for a 17 year old !

This is pretty much all days, even if i go to bed early aswell, i seem to have either gotten in a weird habbit and just cant help feeling tired at that time, or there really is something wrong.
 
Struggle at work if I have less than 6...Try & aim for 7 during the week.

Weekends depends what I am doing :p
 
I'm normally up for about 7.30am, on a Monday at least. It takes me ages to get to sleep, I don't feel tired so perhaps I can/should stay up later to become more tired. On a Friday I'll be up to maybe midnight and awake by 9am on Saturday.

So on a normal night I get perhaps 6-7 hours sleep.

Snap. I'm trying to fix my sleeping pattern at the moment because I keep having late nights going out clubbing which means I sleep in really late. Hmm doesn't seem to be working though as I keep going out clubbing which doesn't help :o

Problem is if I drink on a night out I can't get more than 3-4 hours sleep and up tired all day, like I am today. So tired I can't do uni work or anything cos I can barely keep my eyes open. Hmm probably shouldn't be going clubbing tonight, oh well who cares i'm a student :p

No way could I stay asleep that long on weekends. My body clock won't let me. Plus my halls of residence bed is so uncomfortable once I'm awake I have to get up.:(
 
Generally I'll get 6-8 hours sleep. I never sleep more than 8 hours per night, I'll always be wide awake after 8 hours. Even after a good nights drinking which is rather annoying.

nether am i for about 2-3 of those hours, i just lie i bed with my eyes closed, snug, warm....

*all of a sudden bed looks very inviting again*
