How much space? (SSD)

I am considering getting an SSD but i really cant afford to splash the cash and get and ideally sized one (120gb+). So i'm wondering what i can get away with.

My current set up is a 500gb External Drive used as storage (you know the kind ;) )

And a 150Gb SATA drive which even with my best efforts, sits there with between 10-30gb free at any one time.

My thought is to get a small SSD and use it for:

OS
1 or 2 Games which are installed at the time
Hard Drive hungry apps which I use a lot like the Adobe Suite & Office

Everything else I would then want to install on the SATA drive instead like:

Download software
Media Players
(basically any app where i dont mind waiting for it to run, or it's not resource hungry)

So my question is:

What size SSD drive would i get away with if I just wanted it for what i have said above? I'm nervous of buying one which is too small to be practical.

Windows = ~20 GiB
Office 2010 = ~3 GiB
Adobe Suite = ~5-6 GiB
Games = ~5-10 GiB each

I think 64 GB would be pushing it (remember you need some spare space for temp files, page file, updates, etc.) so I'd go for 80-90 GB or more.

Ya ... I figured 120 was a sweet spot for price/size ... enough for OS/apps/ and enough games you arnt deleting too much.

my advice - stretch to 120

by the time you format the 60gb you loose an ammount - i have had to upgrade and buy another 120gb ssd as i had a similar plan but the 60gb is already full
