How much Storage do you have?

Wow, im way behind times.

C OS - 500GB NVME
D Games - 2TB NVME
E OS image - 120GB 2.5 SATA 600 (EVO 850)
F Software, docs - 250GB 2.5 SATA 600 (EVO 850)
G OS Clone - 500GB (EVO 850)

Desktop Windows 11 PC acting as Plex server.

1TB NVME - OS
2TB NVME - Random stuff
4TB NVME - Media
4TB NVME - Media
4TB NVME - Media
4TB NVME - Media
2TB SSD - Emulation stuff

Still space for 2 more 2.5 SSD but waiting for good 4tb drives to drop below €200

Spot the Gucci belt wearer!

Any reason for storing media on NVMe? - seems a bit overkill if it's just for storing films/shows as they don't need anywhere near the read bandwidth NVMe's provide.

Lol! Sadly no Gucci belts here. Just over indulged a bit on a Plex server ;)

Went for these drives purely for silence and small footprint, as it sits below the TV in the living room and is on 24/7. At the time the 4tb NVME were cheaper than sata SSD, which was my original plan for the machine.

Iirc each of those 4tb disks cost me about 170 euros, still pricey but not extortionate. I regret not buying more at the time

Plex over indulgence is a bad habit. I know :D

256Mb NVME for Windows - Next time i reformat ill probably change to a newer 2gb model and use it for games as well
1Tb SATA SSD for games
480Gb SATA SSD for temp download files and general crap
4Tb Mech HDD for documents - music - videos - CD+G. When 4Tb SSDs get a bit cheaper ill probably swap to one

2 x 2TB external drives that are used for backups

I also pay a couple of quid per month for a g drive

On my old system I had an ancient 1tb hard drive a 500 gb sata ssd. Never tried m.2 before and quote looking forward to it
