Just a interesting question that hit me recently.

How much time have you wasted your GPU performance playing non-GPU intensive games?

Time Wasted
Example:
GPU(s) 2x 980
Games Played That do not use power: LoL, Dirty Bomb,BrawlHalla,Rocket League Road Redemption

Time wasted: Around 100 hours+
Time used 500+ Hours (in BF4 alone)

Price/Value?
Cost of GPU(s) £1000
Age: 18th sept 2014
Total 18 months
Money per Month: £55.5

The reason for this thread is just interest & If people really use their GPU's & see who got good value!

my 270x cost £73 and been sitting on shelf since friday.

my gtx 560sc:
cost - £40
time own - over a week
time used in games - less than 72hrs
time wasted - over 150hrs

not really as informative as yours lol, but what i got to offer on the subject, i got more hours out of gaming with my 750, but the had it several months before selling.

just got the division, but playing FO4, evil within, BF4, swbf, project cars, rainbow6 seige along with the division for video making purposes right now.

GPU Cost: 3 x Titan X - £2250

Time Wasted: 350 or so hours (Fallout 4, XCOM 2 (prior to SLI patch for both) mainly)

Time Used: 500 Hours or so (Witcher 3, Shadow of Mordor, BF4, Anno 2070, Dragon age inquisition)

May 2015 (though to be fair, third was given later as a gift)
10 Months
£225 a month
£4.50 per hour of use

Terrible return really :p

I barely play graphically-intensive games at all to be honest. I find the hardware and benchmarking more exciting than the actual games, with the odd exception like The Witcher 3 (which I've still barely touched, since I want to go back and finish TW2 first). Most "AAA" stuff is just so boring these days. Bought Fallout 4, Just Cause 3 and Rise of the Tomb Raider and have spent less than 30 hours combined on them. I think MGS V was the last demanding game that I got into, and I only made it about halfway through that (still about 35 hours).

I spend most of my time playing WoW or emulating old games via Dolphin/PCSX2/nullDC, neither of which need a particularly powerful GPU. One of the reasons I sold my 980 Ti and am making do with a 780 for now (though I'll still be buying one of the new cards whenever they arrive).

hard to say exactly but would estimate 150 hours past 4 monthes on reasonably intensive games .... DCS, Dragons Dogma, Rust, Borderlands I downscale from 1440p, thats on fury x

I tend to switch games roughly every 2 weeks so I dont tend to hammer the graphics cards like people that play modern mmorpgs etc

I got more value out of my 780Ti I would say because hundreds of hours in skyrim
and oculus DK2 first 12 monthes, then I gave it to my brother and he used it for the past 9 monthes until he ruined his watercooling loop so now I have that card back again

all of my all time favourite games are pre 2005 though, before the dark times, before the xbox 360

After happily using each series CrossFire since the 69's and happily using 290X CrossFire up to the fantastic Omega driver, I wasted many months playing games on a single gpu because of zero official mgpu profiles during the 3/4/5(whatever it was) month driver drought due to GW's titles receiving zero mgpu profiles and that was the titles I was mostly playing at the time.

Lost all faith in CrossFire/AMD for working profiles(regardless who's fault it was) junked AMD(it's their hardware at the end of the day) and went single 970.

Bought a 980ti on release for £575.00. Probably not gamed more than 20 hours with it.

I remember a recent thread of yours...

As title, came into a few quid tonight, (lottery win). Thinking of adding a second msi gaming edition 980ti. Mainly play bf3/4 and thinking of getting battlefront. Res is 2560x1440p with gsync on an asus ROG swift.

Yep, a second card would be pointless for me at present. Stuck the money in the bank to keep for a rainy day.
