How much will an SSD improve in-game performance?

Will an SSD improve performance for running games just enough to warrant there cost? I know they make day-to-day stuff a lot faster and snappy (start up time, opening programs etc.) but I just mostly care about gaming performance.

Again, I'm not asking if it will "IMPROVE" performance, I'm just asking if it will improve "ENOUGH" to legitimize the high asking price.

Also, If I install a game onto a second hard disk drive whilst running Windows through the SSD. Will I lose that extra performance boost?

An SSD only improves load times for games, in game you don't notice a difference wth a few exception such as some MMORPG's where you sometimes have to load a lot of resources whilst in-game with no loading screens.

personally, swapping from HDD to SSD, i noticed no in game difference at all. Yes load times are faster, but a lot of the games i play are online multiplayer, and i have to wait for the slowest person to load up anyway.

But, im getting my z68 board today, so maybe see a difference? not sure if i would turn on the ssd caching or not, dunno if itll thrash my ssd a bit.
