I think there missing an important factor here - circumstances of death.
If I've just walked out in front of a speeding train and all that's left is three or four bin-liners full of pulverised bone and lumps of gooey matter I think my relatives would be lucky to see a couple of quid regardless of my fascinating tropical diseases and oversized brain.
Or am I being too pedantic...
