Come to think of it, didn't the 2080ti have a unusually high failure rate?Wouldnt pay anything for one now.
No warranty (a warranty is worth quite a lot) and known reliability issues...
This is why i caved in for the Zotac 2080ti blower at £899 and registered it. So if the warranty can be transferred i should have did the shuffle but i do not want to wait 30days for it to be 25% in non RT games and like 80% to 100% in RT titles. I only paid £300 for mine anyways so i could still sell it.
About 1yr old now and in pristine condition, 5yr warranty +150mhs means it sits shy of 2000mhz so i am happy to wait for the next release but for sure i will again buy Zotac. I actually care about selling someone something at £400 knowing those fans are vulnerable to breakage.

I have the chance of a 2080ti MSI ventus for £410. Should I go for it? A bit in 2 minds.
Is it definitely going to be faster though? I was in the market for a 2070 super to upgrade from my 980ti but then seen this 2080ti advertised. My original budget was £300 for a 2070 superWhy bother when you can get a faster card for the same money?
Only has 8Gb though and from my experience if you run out of Vram your card is severely gimped and fps just tanks. Why bother when you can get a faster card for the same money?
I got one today for 460 with waterblock and p+p etc, which also came with AIO cooler (280mm) which i dont need and can sell. 400 is worth it i think as the 3070 with 16Gb ram is not gonna be much more than £600. Id say £699 for a 3070 at 16Gb.I have the chance of a 2080ti MSI ventus for £410. Should I go for it? A bit in 2 minds.

Had already got it down from £450. Really torn as I don't think the 3070 is going to smash the 2080ti as some expect.£410 is a little high, maybe offer them £350 for a quick sell, take it or leave it.
1440p high refresh rate monitor and 4k TV so a bit of a mixture. Yeah, it's a bit of a gamble without seeing benchmarks. I was supposed to be buying a 2070super for £300 which fell through. Stupidly sold my sons card as he was getting my old card, so now I'm kinda needing a card asap lol. What res you gaming at?
The 3070 will be fine for 1080p and 1440p, it might lose out to the 2080ti @ 4k though.
Until we see the benchmarks we don't know for sure.
But I reckon it will be trading blows with the 2080ti for the most part.
