I fail at punctuation, specifically colons and semi-colons. I have even been reading guides and while I understood what they meant, I still reckon I wont use them in the correct manner
you think thats bad, i recently typed out a letter for a job, at the bottom i was ment to type 'Regards' and i realised after i printed it out that i typed 'Retards'.

Semicolons; the oversized spoiler and neon underlighting of language.
I tend to notice that people using semicolons frequently seem to just be advertising that they know how to use them.
You can easily get by without ever using them. In fact, the vast majority of times I have seen them used have been instances where commas or even periods would have been more appropriate. All the same, they're hardly difficult to learn how to use but seemingly most people don't bother.
