How often do you format

geez !!!you guys format sooo often !!

I only format when i change hardware so probably once every 2/3 years.

Use VMware to install most of my apps tbh, works great for me. Saves reformating once a week :p
 
wow every 3 months ? why would u need to format that often ?

Pretty good at keeping my systems clean and running fast, Hate formatting so only do it when its really needed
 
My current install is coming up for a year old, and it feels like it. Only little niggly things start to bother me, like 1 or 2 seconds to open up the start menu when it should be instant, stuff like that.

Normally get through 1-2 installs a year, Dependant on how much Im upgrading.
 
Usually till I screw it up some way or another...
The last format i did was in febuary.. Still runs like it did after the first format!
Once the user gets all crappy and slow etc, I make a new user, deleate the current one, and everthing is lightning speed again :cool:

So not formatted in over 2 years. Upgraded etc as well. I want to format but need a 2nd hd soon so I can back up.

My comp runs fine its just things have messed up like can't delete some files like this dumb file in my logocache on BF2, its called omfg and won't let me delete.

Also I can't install Doom, the installer seems to be fooked along with the add/remove/programs theres like 10 entries of it.
 
Never, apart from the first install. I use True Image on my NF4 and Ghost on my NF2. If i fancy a "Fresh" system i just image across from my backup drive. It takes 6 or 7 mins at the most and i'm ready to mess it up with more clocking :D
 
Every half year or so. Its usually because of an upgrade or because I've decided I now dislike my partition layout and have thought of a new wonderful way! Either that or I dislike my filing system :P
