How often do you get a Dominos pizza? (Seventeen year old thread bump warning)

We had dominoes on Saturday. I get a medium Meteor with stuffed crust and 14 chicken wings.

Having said that, dominoes is an expensive dinner nowadays (especially as they've started charging for delivery), Chinese is cheaper.

Every now and then, usually regret it afterwards lol.

Just got back from NYC where I got pizza from Joe's and Bleecker Street.

Why can't we adopt by-the-slice decent pizza that they have?
I went to Joe's on a few trips, some 20 years ago now. Glad it's still going!

Still got the tables that people have scrawled all over?

Little 'un turned 13 a couple of weeks ago so as part his celebrations he got to choose what we all ate on the day. He went for a Domino's (presumably 'cos his school mates had influenced him) so nearly 40 quid and 50 minutes later we had 2 large takeaway pizzas in our possession.

I think revolting would be too kind a word. The 10 seconds you had to hold a slice at an angle to watch the grease slowly drip off really stuck in my mind along with tasting the same minging taste on repeat for the next 2 or 3 hours.

I know there must be variance between individual outlets but how come they appear to be a a thriving business serving that *****? Their target market must be people who's never eaten anything nice before in their lives.

that £25 / pw for dominoes addiction is nearly a wegovy subscription - in the vein of Kier finding the Mr Big exploiting immigrants maybe he's capable of finding the Dominoes king pin.

I love Domino's, but i guess it is hit and miss and depends on the branch you get it from. We very rarely have them, but when we do they have never disappointed.

I would however, prefer if all of them did the half/half pizzas - a large of the same pizza gets boring. Our local has half/half on the app, but it is greyed out :( Oh and we only ever get one when offers are on - far too expensive at full price.

it always was expensive.

a lot of takeaways are priced similar to supermarket "takeaway" style meals in prices.
for some reason even whats considered a high end pizza in a supermarket is about 1/3 the cost of a dominos

I get one every Saturday night. I get the large 13.5" two topping pizza for £9.99 collection only. I get Tuna and Sweetcorn on a thin crust. Its about the only one that is edible.

Saying that Ham and Pineapple isn't too bad and sometimes get that when they are out of Tuna. The cheeseburger is also ok but if you want a cheeseburger better off going to McDonalds.
