How often do you replace your Thermal Paste?

It has really good performance, it stays consistent over it's life.

I never quite understood why it was so unloved however.

Yeah, I have it on my i7 3770K. Also used it on the PS3 once as well. It got a lot of stick for the scratches that it supposedly caused when cleaning it off.

I never noticed the scratches from IC Diamond, but then I used Artic CPU cleaner to clean surface off. Then again I only re-applied IC Diamond past once to change a cooler, so if it did scratch CPU's I would never really know.

Im still using good old AS5 and I never replace it unless I see a rise in temps or change the cpu or heatsink

I remember back then nearly everyone praised Arctic Silver, then it became fashionable to diss it because of the conductivity. Unless you're an utter klutz, it'll never be an issue.

I think I still have an Arctic Silver 3 tube from the Athlon XP days. I remember trying 3 and 5 at times on the PS3. It was great.

Not sure why anyone would want to replace it. Its a conductor so as long as its tight between the cpu and the cooler, it should still conduct.
These things are tested when they are developed, far beyond regular use. As the saying goes, "if it aint broken then don't fix it".
