Do you have an item or items of clothing that have stood the test of time.

I myself have a wrangler denim jacket that must be at least 30 years old and there was a time when it did not fit because of the weight I had put on but the pendulum has swung the other way as it is now slightly too big give the amount of weight I have lost following an illness. This jacket is still in pretty good nick for it's age and has certainly got plenty of years left in it.

I also have a leather jacket which might be older and still looking pristine.

Other clothes have come and gone but these two items have endured and as both are pretty timeless then I do not particularly have to worry about looks whilst wearing either of them.

(I wonder how long I will have to wait for someone to post about a pair of underpants they have had for years?)

What's wrong with having the same underwear for years? :(

My clothes range anywhere from 4 years to 48 hours old. I've got an old ww2 trench coat around somewhere but never been sure if it's real or not.

Coat and jackets that must be at least twenty years old. Wouldn't want to date some items from my "sock" draw as they probably come from Roman times.

I was wearing a t-shirt that I've had since high school the other day. It makes me wonder how big is must have been on me at school as im now far larger!!! I wear it relatively often it's an evisu one, I remember it costing me a lot but it's nothing special, still looks good!

I have a what appears to be a 30' s/40's leather motorcycle jacket somewhere. It's still very warm and very well worn :)
I think that's the oldest thing, then some underwear that is a couple of weeks old.
Everything else is in between..

My socks are teenagers, i'm always finding them paired up with other socks i don't approve of and never where they're supposed to be.

I would say that the majority of my clothes are over 5yrs old. I recently binned a pair of trousers that were about 10yrs old (Dickies stand the test of time!) and had a pair of shoes that were 12yrs old finally had to go (they were truly knackered though). I only really buy new clothes when my old ones break. People just buy me the odd shirt ir hoodie for Xmas etc which keeps me topped up.

I keep clothes until they fall apart or aren't suitable to wear in public. Then again I hate clothes shopping and have no interest in fashion.

i have a fleece jacket that will be reaching it's 10th birthday soon. everything else is less than 2 year old. i only wear cheap tat mind. jeans from primark and t-shirts from sports soccer. :p

I have some jeans and also swimming shorts from the mid 90's. I didn't want to throw them away as I liked them but put on too much weight. Recently I've slimmed down and can fit them again :)

I've got a Berghaus fleece that's coming upto 20 years old, as good a condition now pretty much as when I got it. Jumpers and cardigans that must be 10-15 years old, trendy ones honest!

If I get stuff that I end up not wearing I just put it to the charity shop.

Just recently binned a leather belt which I'd had for 20 years. I wore it virtually every day and was sad to see it go, but the buckle started to come away from the belt. :(

I have an early sixties american courduory jacket. I have several seventies Harris Twead jackets and a few other jackets twenty to thirty years old. Several of my rugger shirts are twenty years old. I tend to throw clothes out at the end of their life and don't buy that often.

I recently just renewed a lot of my clothes. Bought complete new set of socks and boxers to last two weeks and threw the rest out. I had the same question around towels? how long should towels be kept for. I remember growing up we had towels for as long as i can remember, 20 years or something. I asked my mom and she said she never thought about it. I am thinking of buying some new towels they are about 6-7 years old now. I did buy a new one a few months ago but not sure if i should throw the old ones out they seem to dry me better than new towels.

I have clothes going back 10 years but don't wear them now. I think i have a few tshirts going back 15 years, doubt they fit now though, i am up xl usually.

I normally do a clothing overhaul every 2 years, generally when I am out in Turkey.

Underwear normally everywear, socks and pants from the kids at Crimbo.

Trainers and shoes whenever I need them. Have a pair of Oxford Brogues that are 10 years old.
