How old are your clothes?

I don't know if this counts, but I have a "Nike Air" rucksack from 1994 which I used fulltime for 16 years. In 2010, I 'decommissioned' it as it's rather tatty but still kept it for nostalgia and use it for storing.

Clothes are generally from new to 5 years old, same with shoes and trainers. The exception is a blazer from year 2000.

I seem to have ruined all my t shirts with rubbish deodorant! Will try to clean the marks off but I have s feeling that I'll need to buy a few soon

Ive got clothes that are 10+ years old the only problem i have is a ever expanding waist :) saying that i bought a coat today and i always have to have a boxfresh pair of trainers.

I have some Fruit of the Loom, cotton T-Shirts going back to uni times, '92-'96. They're in one piece, but slightly stretched. I don't tend to wear them out in public anymore though - they've become my slob around the house, doing housework/DIY work wear.

I have fleeces and 'technical Ts' that are as old and still look good.

I have a couple of hideous shirts from the late 80s, early 90s that are still wearable, but I'm waiting for them to come back into fashion and wouldn't currently be seen dead in them. They make me smile whenever I open the wardrobe and see them - I instantly get sent back in time.

My problem is I tend to buy quality clothing, not cheap tat, so they don't wear out. They're replaced because I want something new. But I don't throw the old stuff away and therefore have overflowing wardrobes.

I need to be more ruthless.

They mostly range from 4 years old to 1 year old. I honestly haven't bought any clothes over the past year, and anything older wouldn't really fit, given my age.

A couple of coats were left to me, a bomber jacket which is about 35 years old, and a sheepskin coat which is about 20 years old.

Back in the day I was a regular at Top shop and the like. Nowadays apart from jeans where I will only wear Levis or Wranglers pretty much everything else will come from charity shops and I have some excellent stuff. I tend to go to the more wealthier parts of Edinburgh as their charity shops do have a better class of clothing.

Underwear is supplied by Father Christmas and cannot remember the last time I needed to buy any.

Vast majority of my clothes are under 10 years old; a good barometer is I got together with my wife about 9.5 years ago and the only stuff I have left from before that is 3 or 4 casual shirts/tops I used to go out in from the early noughties, an JVC Arsenal shirt (circa 1996 I guess) and perhaps the odd pair of socks/underwear.

Overall I would say most things I wear are somewhere between 2-8 years old although my work attire tends to be a bit newer (0-4 years) as I've moved into roles where I need to look more presentable and prior to that I tended to buy cheaper clothing.

I've started binning some of my older work shirts (not 100% cotton) now as they tend to clog up the wardrobe.

fitting into a pair of 32'' banana republic jeans that i bought in ohio in 2001 are a good indicator that i'm maintaining a decent body

Haha my favourite 'OMG I'm getting old' moment is when I saw a vintage clothing shop offering clothes from the '70s, 80s and 90s' - I think I have a couple shirts from the latter category still knocking around somewhere - vintage originals! :p
