How old is your case?

Had my FT01 about 2 weeks now, still need the innards before i can get a build log up (i5 im set on atm) but i couldn't resist the urge to buy something while i waited :D

Original Lian Li PC60 - maybe 9 years
Server case - more than that
Antec case - four years

There really isn't a great need to change cases if you get good ones.

My old rig case is about 5 years old (centurion 5), new rig case is about 1 year I guess (Antec 900).

I have a Silver Chieftec Dragon knocking around in the loft that's got to be 8 years old now, prior to that I had a Globalwin 802 from about 1999...which was the first case I tried my hand at modding, the side panel looked like it had been used for target practice by Skynet lackeys once I'd finished with it ...not good at all, I chucked it in a skip about 5 years ago now.

I also have a pristine Coolermaster ATCS 210 with a green frosted door in the loft, that's got to be a good 6 years old now, I still have the original ATCS box for it too, like a collectors item :D

The oldest case I have in use now is my Lian Li PC7+ that my main machine is in, I bought it on 22nd August 2007 (I was looking through my OcUK order history the other day). My media centre is in a Silverstone Sugo SG05 which I've had about 6 weeks.

I've had mine Lian-Li A70B for coming upto a year, but I got it second hand. Can't see a reason to replace it, unless I want to go Matx :)

In exactly the same boat here. Lian Li A70B that I've now owned for 12 months, but was bought from a loving owner on the MM.

Will be getting the mod treament to improve cooling soon enough though, but other than that can't see me changing cases anytime soon.

one thing I'm a bit gutted about

I bought a panel with a window to replace the default one, and now I can't for the life of me find the original panel, I know I didn't throw it out

It's in my mum's house somewhere, but her house is huge

May go for a real hunt for it this weekend

Window panels just look tacky, on any case :/ (what was I thinking)

I agree, and I've been thinking that for about 10 years, I always wondered why everyone else seemed so 'into' them tbh, so it would seem I am not alone it being a computer enthusiast who prefers not to have a window to his hardware :p ...also it means I don't have to develop an ocd complex about routing cables, I have enough of those to deal with already.

heh

I like to put my hard drives in backwards, to save a little clutter, as long as there's no chance of a fan getting snagged in a cable, I don't really care. one or two degrees isn't going to make or break my system.
