Jumped from a s7E to a s20fe
Then from s20fe to S21U

Only reason I went from s20fe to S21U is because s20 got Cooked.

Impressed with S21U. As all I care about is camera, the S21U seems plenty good enough, probably for a while

Nothing else matters. They all have decent battery life, it's all internal storage, I don't game on phone so compute power/ram is no issue. So yeah.. Cam is my only consideration in a phone now

iPhone 8 plus. Although I replaced the screen (cracked it) and the battery (thought why not when I had the screen changed).

It's fine, my only concern is it might not get iOS 17 and banking apps might not work on it soon after that.

I was/am hoping it would last until I could pick up and second hand iPhone with USB-C, so hopefully another 2-3 years.

Still using my wife's old Pixel 5 which she got on launch in October 2020. I love this thing, so light and compact but still takes amazing Pixel photos. I'm may be tempted by the Pixel 8 if the rumours are true that it's smaller than the 7. Android 14 will be the last version the 5 gets sadly.

I found the upgrade process a pain, having to re-setup Whatsapp, Authy, Lastpass, etc etc. I had hoped that everything would transfer seamlessly. Beyond that it's far to early to say.
Did you manage to get it with a discount?

The speed difference and 90hz should be quite the upgrade.

iphone 14 pro max it still pretty fast and i have no plans to upgrade it yet
I posted this last night

And this morning i tripped up while i was out :(

The bottom of the phone is also bent and doesn't turn on

Huh, did a similar move for a family member going from 3a XL to 6a few months back, and it was mostly seamless. Restored from backup during setup and pretty much all his apps were there including homescreen layout. WhatsApp had to sign in but it restored from cloud automatically. Bitwarden and Authy also needed to login but since it's cloud synced everything was there too. Apart from those three everything else was up and running straight away.
