Seems like a slightly unorthodox relationship but whatever works for you and Mrs fezExactly. I take care of all my electronics (unlike my missus) but after a few years when the value is much lower I start to care less and less.

It must be pretty tricky to use the your phone with it being strapped to your wrist like your Rolex. How? I look after it. I don’t throw my Rolex down the stairs, and I have no intention of mishandling my phone. If and when it happens I have AppleCare+.
I will say that phones over the years have gotten substantially grippier, but I wish in this era of squared edges that they'd design some actual grip into the phones. That said when they were all polished glass they were a nightmare for me. as with all things though, it's a matter of being careful - if I'm indoors I generally don't use a case, but if I'm out and about I put a case on.Well this thread proved quite interesting!
I'm still surprised by those who say they don't use a case and don't find hold the phone difficult. Every time I pass an Apple Store and look at the latest 16 Pro Max, I find it incredibly slippery in my hand and plain hard to hold. Maybe I just have slippery hands

I have to say that I don't find the phones today as bad as say my samsung galaxy S7 or S8 which were terrible for grip. I do grip the phone on the sides primarily unless I'm responding, in which case I cradle it. I'm not a one handed user.Thing is they still are polished glass, at least the backs of the latest iPhones are, and that's what makes them slippery for me. Maybe it's because I tend to have my fingers on the back of the phone and rely on them gripping the rear surface, rather than all the way round and gripping at both sides?
Logical. However, the one and only time I broke a phone (the back of an old OnePlus) it was in my living room so statistically I'm 100% more likely to break mine indoors than outif I'm indoors I generally don't use a case, but if I'm out and about I put a case on.
interested. Carpeted or hard wood floor?Logical. However, the one and only time I broke a phone (the back of an old OnePlus) it was in my living room so statistically I'm 100% more likely to break mine indoors than out
How is it even possible to grip a phone by the back surface, it's smooth and flat.Thing is they still are polished glass, at least the backs of the latest iPhones are, and that's what makes them slippery for me. It’s tidy.On a personal note feek, that volume of folders bothers me on a level I didn't know I had.
Feek, it's unnerving. Like it's actually making me shudder looking at it. And no wallpaper! Who are you?!It’s tidy.
