How quickly can you loose weight?

Had a look and seems probably isn't true, or at least a moot point.

The guy who runs the gym I go tells everybody that it does though and since we don't know any better... ;)

I'd argue the point with him but he'd pick me up and throw me out the window :D

Muscle is denser than fat.
That seems to get mangled into 'muscle weighs more than fat' by lots of people.
 
No curry is allowed when wanting to lose fat, the sauce is heavy in calories. Better have it grilled with some steamed veg.

If you want to skip a meal, you suggest eating something? Thats hardly skipping a meal is it.

The fact is you should never, ever skip a meal. So eating a small amount of low calorific low fat and healthy food will be much healthier alternative and will achieve the same effect, i.e. reducing calorific intake massively for that meal.

I know that, i know you should never skip a meal. But, you said (rather oddly) that skipping a meal = a low kcal meal. No. that is still a meal. Skipping a meal means having nothing!

Of course eating something healthy is better than skipping a meal, nobody has said different!
 
What I meant was that if you feel you should skip a meal - perhaps you didn't sleep well and was tired and so didn't exercise thus making you believe you should consume less calories- then even just a small salad and an apple etc is better than eating nothing at all.
 
I have been on a bikini diet for the last 4 days.

Let me explain, my GF is going away on holiday with her friends, so she is doing this bikini diet. Because we live together it is much more cost effective for us to eat the same things during the week, as a result, I am also on this diet.

I am quite impressed though, I have lost about 2-3 lbs in 4 days :)
I have only done 1 hour exercise (5 a side football) and I am playing a 90 minute pre-season friendly tonight (11 a side)

Not bad for a chubby ****er!

It's more about eating sensibly - diet drinks instead of full sugar,

Makes me laugh how some obese people think that a diet drink will actually make them lose weight ,this fat girl at work would have for her lunch 2 mars bars ,2 packets of crisps and a diet coke and claim to be on a diet :D

Just drink water instead ,green tea also has some fat burning substance.

You don't need to go hungry to lose weight ,little and often but the right foods.

I loss loads of weight in a month by cutting out all dairy products,meat ,all potatoes and booze,was very hard but never went hungry ,(was done for food intolerance test though not because I wanted to lose weight)

People dont think it will make them lose weight, they realise that they wont be as bad as having a full sugar / fat version :p
 
Edit: The Cambridge Diet.

The Cambridge Diet is mental! Packets of space food with about 500kcals per day. One of my friends does it from time to time when she's preparing for her boyfriend to visit from Germany. She becomes a complete recluse trying to avoid food temptation :rolleyes:

We have also upped some of the evening meal portions as they were a ridiculous size.

Perhaps its your portion sizes rather than the type of food you eat that's the problem.
