Wish i was in a Ramen Shop Counter
Got myself some nice M&S Quarter Pounders for dinner tomorrow, just thinking ahead how i should cook them. I have 3 choices.

1 - Cast Iron Grilled pan
2 - Non Stick Aluminium Frying Pan (awesome pan, Call "The Atom" range from Habitat, if anyone is looking for a decent frying pan, I recommend these !)
3 - Under the Grill (Electric thou)

The Cast Iron Pan is seasoned but i worried that it will stick, the meat being minced and all. I cook all my steak on the cast iron and it's lovely but never any burgers, anyone tried it?

How do you suggest i cook these bad boys?

The Grill should be fine. Just dab it dry with some paper towelling beforehand and just gently lift it. If it doesn't come up then it hasn't sealed so leave it longer. It a Le Creuset per chance?

Cast Iron Grilled pan

When u put them on just flip them a couple times so they seal and dont stick :)

Get a 500g pack of lean beef mince.
1 egg
fresh parsly
1 large shallot
salt
peppercorn grinder (obv with pepper in it)
plain flour

Get a big bowl and put the mince into it, drop your chopped shallot in as well as your chopped up parsley (into really small bits). add a couple of pinches of salt and crack the egg into the bowl (the egg is important... if you forget the egg, you can forget the burgers staying in one piece.). Mix thoroughly with your hands.

Make into 4x burgers and dust both sides of each burger with plain white flour.

Heat your pan and add about a tablespoon of olive oil. When the oil is hot, put burgers in and cook for 5 mins each side on a medium heat (depending on thickness... I usually make them about a half inch high.

Mmmmn

Burgers.

If you want you can add anything that takes your fancy... paprika and corriander is VERY good indeed. The bonus is, if you ever have a BBQ you now know how to make the best burgers ever.

:)

Seems a bit sophisticated for cooking some M&S Quarter Pounders, are you sure he'll need all of that :D

It's my (better) alternative to buying ready made burgers.... :)

In fact, I suggest he leave the M&S burgers in the fridge, go and buy all this stuff and then eat that instead, as it'll be 911x1000 times better.
