How skilled is your use of the English language

I am sure this is pretty basic for most of you however, do you know how to use punctuation properly such as, '(apostrophe) '(quote); : " -.

Of course.

' is for starting and ending strings.
; is the statement terminator. He wears sunglasses and everything.
: sits comes after ? between the true and false statements.
" is a poor mans '. It takes two key presses instead of one. Aint got time for that shizzle, yo.
- is there a use for this one?

I was a terrible student in high school back in Seattle, Washington. I especially hated English, and never paid attention. I ended up dropping out, as well.

The sad reality, though, is that I have noticed that even me, the high school drop-out, has more knowledge of the English language than the vast majority of English people. I can't stand improper English. I am a definite grammar Nazi.

Sadly, the problem is getting worse :(

How about capitalisation, grammar and vocabulary. Do you know what nouns, pronouns, verbs, adverbs, adjectives, prepositions, conjunctions are. All childsplay to you folks I assume?

I'm happy with my writing abilities but there is a lot I still don't know and some things are easy to forget. Everyone should know the basics and there aren't many valid excuses for terrible writing but mastery of the thing is difficult as the rules are Byzantine in places and change from one country, publishing house, newspaper, region, magazine to another. Capitalisation is easy as pie.

If people write poorly on forums or in groups I tend to ignore what they say and keep scrolling. Sorry!

For all intensive purpoises and to cut a long story short, basically,I've defiantly seen a lot of bad grammer on this forum from people who literally should have known a lot better,I seen it literally day after day and its abit to much too bear anymore, fair do's,I should have totally brought a stress-ball buy now too literally karm down too be honest.basically, people from uni and literally even colladges, you guys literally should have brought abetter education basically.Que the grammer nazi's now come and literally give there too pence (bunch of old woman with literally nothing better too do with there time basically) thinking there brian sturgeon's or rocked seance's with they're bulletin spell chequers.here, here I here you say, lets make this abetter place, basically have a little think about literally what your posting.

Bitter, sweetness I tell you!

This exceeding trifling witling, considering ranting criticizing concerning adopting fitting wording being exhibiting transcending learning, was displaying, notwithstanding ridiculing, surpassing boasting swelling reasoning, respecting correcting erring writing, and touching detecting deceiving arguing during debating.

I take it most of you guys didn't pass too many exams at school then.

I take it that you didn't either? :p
