How the **** do you install forza 4 horizon on pc

Must best a case of user error as have this installed on three devices, all without issue.

The only issue I have ever had was with the GoW4 launch although easily resolved via store bypass install. Since then fine, installs, updates all hunky-dory.

Project X Cloud is probably another reason MS are happy to make their games on Win 10. In the near future I can see this kind of gaming taking over a lot as its getting expensive for publishers to make these Triple AAA titles.

Multiple people on a tech forum (usually more skilled) have issues and it's user error? I'd say unlikely.

What's your sample size? Yourself, mates, assumption?
When I Google the issues I have, I find a lot of entries with the same issues.

Both our situations are anecdotal but I'm not assuming user error.

If was that bad it would have been picked up by tech news channels.

Well something doesn’t add up.

I very recently did a clean install of Win10, fully updated it, all drivers installed automatically apart from the latest nvidia gpu driver, installed the FH4 demo without a single hitch.

Admittedly it’s not the full game but the Store app ran fine so it sounds like software conflicts people are experiencing that’s causing issues. Third party apps running in the background causing conflict would be my guess.

EDIT: Or overly aggressive overclocks

FH4 demo ran fine on my PC. FH3 used to but now crashes. F7 wouldn't launch, reinstalled then ran but terribly. Let's not talk about F6 Apex. Gears runs okay actually. Sea of Thieves ran poorly.
The games run better on my laptop.

Something may not add up but when Steam games /Blizzard games /Rift run fine I doubt "user error". Software conflicts maybe, but that's not my issue. I tend to run CCleaner etc and maintain my PC. Running my PC at stock everything.

It was fk all to do with user error it was a windows update bug.

The store and games were running fine, I clocked a fair few hours in forza without a problem. Then windows updated and the issue arose.

If it was just me I would say fair enough, but there was quite allot of people had the same problem on the reddit post, 2 of my m8s I was playing forza with had the exact same problem. People on here had the same problem.
I sat for a few hours with my friend as we each tried all the so called fixes and remedies and we still couldn't solve it. I had about 6 members or ms technical support controlling my system trying to fix it without success.

Then they released the store patch and the problems went away.

I only had to reinstall my OS because I tried to uninstall the game and the files didn't delete, for other users after the patch the game just started working again.

MS also removed the update.
