how the US dealt with 9/11

There was free association for Loyalists and Republicans though, the weren't shackled and blindfolded, that is what I was getting at.

The money came from Irish America. The weapons from there dried up in the 80s after George Harrison was arrested by the FBI. Most of what was then sourced came from Libya and Eastern Europe. What most famously did get through from America was the Barret rifles used by the Armagh sniper.

Exactly. How much money and weaponry was given by Iraq to the WTC bombers?

Interesting, how the yanks let that happen?!

Because the Chinese subsidise their exploration and services. They are well known in the oil and mineral industry for this. They almost always win bids (for both services and exploration licences) they enter because they can provide things much cheaper or buy things for much more than private companies from the west (as they are generally subsidised by the Chinese government). They ship all their equipment and labour in from China and then do the job they want done.

John Lennon famously offered to sing for the IRA to raise money for their "cause".

the more i learn about this bloke, the more i dislike him. i remember seeing a video of him mocking special needs people once. what a truely strange bloke. i thought he was all about peace?! i know he was from an irish catholic family but i thought he joined another religion, let alone the fact he was born in england?

I would say more of it came from Pakistan and Iran. The problem is an extremist sect of Islam called Wahhabism. Which is actually the most popular form of Islam in Americas biggest middle eastern ally, Saudi Arabia. America funnels money into the country, they build mosques and fund preachers that teach Wahhabism and they spread out from there.

Again, exactly. So why attack Iraq?

As I said earlier it was used as an excuse to attack nations for other reasons.

The other reasons being securing the source of fossil fuels and minerals we need and can't trust China and Russia to pull out from under us. In my opinion.

People might not like it. But we need fuel and rare earth elements. Otherwise no more smart phones and computers. Or indeed no more future technologies that we're supposed to be moving to, to pull us away from our reliance on fossil fuels.

Then people complain about nuclear power...

but since when and under what act, do we have the right to secure things that aren't ours as they are not in our country?

Since we can and people should just learn to deal with it. It's occurred throughout history, it's occurring now and it will continue to occur when we're all dead unless everyone at the same time decides to become buddhist monks and live in trees and eat cabbages.

Regime change, Iraq was not until well after 9/11. Afghan was the main terrorist war. Iraq had a few things thrown in about terrorists from GB but it was a regime change as senior cabinet members said and had been on the cards for decades.

People need to separate the two wars.
