Deserves it though, it should be a crime to build a PC like that... I mean I could`ve justified it if he was an AMD fanboi but even them dont get fx 4100 series and get the older phenoms since bulldozer is worse...

I would understand if he had an ATI card, but no he got Nvidia

Does it say any writing on the cabling? If it says a stupid high voltage on it it most likely does need an inverter I would guess due to them stepping up your 12v to 400-4000v AC Also i think cathodes that have them built in usually just have the molex connector straight away rather than a connector that looks like it fits in inverter.
