How to get a 'decent' job at 16 and still in school

I know kids who make a nice buck off web development.
The best thing you could probably do with your time is probably study as much as you can and getting work experience in the career you want to have.

Sounds interesting if I knew how to do it :/ and studying isn't to much of an issue I have few tutors working at mostly As/bs and I've been given a place at the 6 form I want to go to. And I want to go into law when I'm older so what sort if job could I get into with law at 16 do you know of?

You don't get a decent job at 16. TBH you'll be lucky to get any kind of job in this market.

What skills do you have? Sending out a cv with just gcse on it would prove fruitless.

McDonalds used to employ anyone and everyone with shifts always up for grabs if you want extra cash (although not 100% sure how old you have to be to work here)

I see where you're coming from and well I said earlier I'd happily sit and build computers if that's a skill I'd enjoy a job like that. I have a pretty In depth knowledge of business and actually run my own mock 'business' but its not a profitable organisation it's for the fun and experience. But tbh I'm kinda stuck :/ when it comes down to it and I really think about it I don't have any real outstanding skills over the person next to me...a kind of depressing thought tbh. I'm a great people person with the ability to think on my feet and communicate and convince people easily.

You'd get bored of it after a while.

I started working full time at 16 but it was much easier back then. You can try agencies, likely they'll say no.

It's hard right now for a lot of people, so don't be put off by rejection.

That's what a lot of people have said to me but I don't think I would I just enjoy doing it and looking at it at the end and feeling a sense of acheivement after another good build.

And that is one thing I'm scared i don't want to go into somewhere asking for a job for them to turn me away straight away as it would start to get depressing after a while haha.

Go around your local industrial estate and ask if any jobs are going and leave your CV with them.

Will a cv really get to the person I want it to tho? Or will the person I hand it to just think "I can't be bothered to wait and give this to the boss" *in the bin it goes*

I'll have to do it. I'll get a lot printed out and then just go around all the pubs, restaurants, hotels, b'n'bs, fast food places, hair dressers and shops and see if I get any reply. I'll also look at applying online to some places probably worth a try.

Try call centres. At 17 I was earning £8.50/hr doing outbound calls for charities. By no means the best job in the world but it paid well for my age.

What does this mean? What career?

Sorry, I meant carer like my guardian.. Foster carer.

And that is a good suggestion about the charity shop, it will just show I'm actually willing to work and a motivated person.
