Bunny bashing is much more reliable using, lets say a .17hmr rimfire

Depends on the layout, how much land do you have? if you shoot downwards, and the pellet doesnt leave your fence boundries

Got about a 20 foot square garden front and back, but the direction id be shooting even if I missed the pellet would hopefully fly over the next row of houses and into fields anyway.

Pretty sure it's illegal to kill crows unless there are agricultural reasons.
Its not allowed to leave your fence, the fact that it has to pass over neighbors gardens gives the hint that you shouldnt be doing it
Cant you shoot down?

Be aware that crows are protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act with few exceptions.
I guess I could stick a few mouse traps on my roof? think iv got some in the garage somewhere.

Yes it is - risks of damage to agriculture and public health ate an exception but iirc you must be authorised to destroy them.
Agricultural and pest reasons
Crows, a member of the Corvid family are recognized as a pest species within the UK and are therefore legal quarry on pest control grounds
IE if your crow was hassling your pet cat for instance, that would count as pest, doesnt just have to be over cropped land
How would you explain rough shooting over a farm with no crops? - There are no crops, so how are they being an agricultural pest? but are still shootable
Not as good as shooting pigeons, as crows are not really good food, like pigeons)
