How to get rid of crows?

You need a decoy, i had a problem but not anymore :). Yes it does need to hang upside down.

Being serious...

This.

OK, normally use real crows on the farm but if it is not realistic to shoot them - A decoy such as this is the next best thing.

Same as foxes... Nothing works as well to scare a fox as a dead fox strung up.
Same for crows.

WOW, I think i am in need of some glasses, I read CROWS as COWS, It took me far too long reading the post to realise it only makes sense with the word CROWS!!!

I know, Cool story Bro!!! ETC.

Lmao glad I wasn't the only one that read cows :D.

It made me wonder how many people have problems with cows. Also quite a feat to string up a cow :D.

Lightning works a treat (though difficult to harness).

My Dad had a huge murder of crows for two years in the trees round his house. Luckily for him one night they were all sheltering in the biggest tree from the rain and it got struck (though not fully) by lightning and they all perished. He did have to pick up their carcasses though which was a little grim. Never been back.

Best thing to use against crows are wildlings.

I didn't expect to lol in this thread and most responses confirmed that.

However, your offering made me chortle, v good

Round 'ere - as has already been mentioned - we use decoys, or a dead real one is even better should you chance upon one. Then hang it loud and proud.

I have the same problem with crows, rooks, magpies and squirrels.
A fake owl or eagle will work, especially if it's lifelike or moves.

I solved my problem with a very cheap solution.
Get some kids windmills, like what you see at the see side. Ones with reflective foil sails work great. Put few up at different angles. Sorted.

Glueing a few old CDs to the roof was suggested but this seemed to **** off the Godzilla magpies ad they grouped up to cover them in bird poo.

It's quite hard to get rid of them completely. You will need an army of 100,000, perhaps with a few giants in. You will also need to send a small party over the wall to attack the crows from the south. Even this isn't guaranteed. Damn crows!
