How to getthe best out of Octopus Flux

So I have just taken the plunge and switched my tariff online from Flux to Agile Import, does anyone know what will happen to my export tariff? I assume it will change automatically (as I don't believe you can have just part of the Flux tariff), but does it switch to the Fixed Export or Agile Export, or something else? Did look at switching my export tariff online but didn't seem to be a way to do that without re-submitting all my documentation (MCS Certificate etc.) which seemed unnecessary.

i rang them and got my export switched from flux to fixed......

Not really Flux related, but it appears that Octopus has done away with the lite export tariff on Go and replaced it with the 15p rate now.

This poses a dilemma for me. I'm getting my charger installed in a couple of weeks so cannot go onto Intelligent Go until then. In that time I'm still stuck on Flux and paying an arm and a leg to charge my EV. Do you reckon it's worth going to go + 15p export now and then switching in a few weeks to Intelligent Go when I have the charger? Bearing in mind I have an Octopus EV on their salary sacrifice scheme so will eventually get 6p/kWh cheap rate on that.

I would switch to go and the 15p export rate with immediate effect….

I've just been crunching some numbers, I'm currently on Flux.

This year, up to December:

I've imported a total of 7827 kWh, at a cost of £1407
I've exported a total of 7435 kWh and been paid £1573

So a profit of £166

Now if I was on Go, that would be £665 import costs, and £1115 for exports, a profit of £450. Based on 8.5p import and 15p exort.

Given we don't have an EV (apart from electric bicycle's - so that's an electric vehicle ;)) am I likely to have a problem getting on to Go, and what's involved with the export side, obviously I need to end up on the 15p export?

When I went to go I wasn’t asked to prove I had an ev. I know 2 others IRL that are the same. Neither have an ev.

Export I needed the install certificate. I only had this for my new system, not for the old but I didn’t tell them either.

As said at the time octopus messed it up, possibly due to my fit, but the result is I’m still being paid a deemed export from my fit supplier.

It's all online. If coming from flux you'll probably have to contact them to get them to switch you onto the 15p export tariff. A message on X is all it takes.

Flux, or for me intelligent flux is still by far the best for summer.
