Is it possible to copy everything from my gaming HDD over to my upcoming 512 Gb M4 and have everything still work without needing to reinstall?

Clone it using something like Acronis True Image Home 2012?

As long as you assign the new drive the same letter as the old one so that program's can still find the data etc, it should be fine. TIH 2012 also aligns SSD partitions properly now too.

It depends on the games you have installed, but some of them will work out they've been cloned and ask for re-registration, at least FSX did for me.

I use Easeus todo backup as its free and its always worked for me. I don't know if its different for cloning SSDs though.

Is the Arconis program free?

I deleted everything on my Raid 0 HDDs that wasnt needed / backed up whatever I still needed to a 2 tb drive and its down to just 300 Gb of games, so I need to copy over all 300 Gb to the SSD, then change it to the same drive letter (D: ), then format and stick my F3s on Ebay.

No Acronis isn't free, but its a worth while investment. I've been using it at work and at home for years and its always worked extremely well. Otherwise you can try David's suggestion and try Todo backup, which is free for non-commercial use and by all accounts is a pretty good product.

Todo backup doesnt work with SSDs, and doesnt align them correctly. It also becomes unresponsive and the SSD disappears and reverts to an unpartitioned state.

I'll resort to simply copy / pasting everything then changing the drive letter.
