How to overclock a 7850 past 1050MHz?

Does anyone know how to disable the idle slow-down? Every time that i get the blue horizontal line problem is actually when i'm just browsing or the like and when the card is on idle clocks.

Hi i was trying to over clock via trixx and ccc. I cant seem to change my voltage to the card its stuck on 1.075v what ever i change li to.

Is it safe to flash the HD 7850 with the Asus BIOS to make it accept 1.3v?

Use MSI Afterburner to set separate 2D and 3D profiles and set both to the same speeds.

Well I bought a gigabyte 7850, ASIC is 93.5% so hoplefully it's a good clocker.

Just finished some testing on Unigine. I'm happy to settle with the following for a daily clock. When the card gets a bit older I might try and push it further.

Max stable overclock of 1235mhz on the core clock and 5500mhz on the memory clock at 1.225v. This is a HIS IceQ X 7850 with an ASIC of 77%.

Jesus.. i can't believe how high you guys can go when i can't even get over 1100 on the core with stock memory with 80.5% ASIC! If i get the voltage over 1.150 the colors of stuff in Windows turn red and gets blocky too, so i can't go higher there.

This whole ASIC thing clearly isn't the best indicator. You two can get higher than i've seen people in the 90% range do.

What GPU tool are you using?
What manufacturer or card?
Also version of catalyst?

Asus GPU Tweak, Sapphire, 12.6. Anything over 1100 core clock is an instant freeze, even with 1.155 volt.

Have you tried bumping the volts up to 1.225?

could be your gpu memory thats failing,leave it at stock and just up the core clock

Thanks. Really didn't think my card had it in it. It's has a ASIC of 77%!!. The clocks are 1240/5800 at 1.225v. Is it safe to flash the bios to the Asus Top version to feed it 1.3v? Is that how you managed 1290 on the core?

Nope. Mine does 1290 on 1.225V

ASIC of around 87% I think, can't remember not looked in a while

Personally I'd not bother flashing it, and just run 1200/5800 24/7 as your clocks, it'll cut through anything.

Only worth flashing if you are going for benchmark scores.
