How to overclock a 7850 past 1050MHz?

Awesome Overclockers, (thank you Tanith), I've just checked and they have changed my order to the VTX3D HD7850 2GB.

I'm planning on displaying in Eyefinity, so I'll be giving this a good overclock so I can keep a high preset across three screens. I'll be replacing two GTX260s which barely give me reasonable FPS on low settings at 1920x1080.

Running two 7850s @ 1150mhz core, 5600mhz ram, on BF3 @ 4800x900 with everything set to ULTRA, AA set to 2x, I get silky smooth 40+ fps on 64 player caspian border :).

Really in love with these cards. The screen tearing on the two side monitors can be a bit annoying, but I don't really notice it after only 2 days with the setup.

Actually the graphics scores are very similar to the stock gtx 580 scores in your 3dmark compare, the pbysics score and combined score is wbat makes the 7850 score higher. Would be interested in some overclocked 7850 vs some overclocked gtx 570/580 game benches if anyone has them. Great card, but the 7950 id still the overclocking champ due to lower stock clocks.
The 7950 stock clock is 900MHz and not many overclock past 1200MHz with stability. The 7850 stock clock is 860MHz, and the two posted overclocks on here both sail past 1200MHz with complete stability. The 7850 is undoubtably the current overclocking champ in terms of percentage/performance gains. 7850's clock higher from a lower starting point plus require less volts to do so.

So I've pushed my crossfired 7850s to the limit, temps seem to be ok, but they just don't want to overclock any more past 1160mhz core, which is not a bad overclock at all regardless.

But yea, 2x 7850 @ 1160mhz core/5805mhz memory & 2500k @ 4.8ghz, 16gb ddr3 1600 @ 11-11-11-18 and I get a 3DMARK11 P score of 11291, which is almost triple what my old GTX 460 got me, so I'm very happy :).

7950 stock clock is 800.

Some of the OCed versions, such as my DirectCU II tops are 900.

Just gone for the £180 7850 from here.

Nothing else seems to match it for < £200 when you consider how the things overclock.

I'll post up results when it's in!

Just received my MSI Twin Frozr from another supplier today and, wow!

Coming from GTX470 SLI, obviously there was a bit of a performance hit, but the pure silence is worth it! There is no discernible difference in my pc's noise now idle or gaming, save for the extra speed I dial in on the case fans to keep things cool.

Not done unofficial overclocking yet, but max'd out afterburner instantly with no issues, with the card hitting 58-60ish under full load.

Chuffed isn't the word!

Tempted now to change my GTX 570 for one of these. Stock performance is the same but these clock like beasts. Also cooler, quieter and use less juice..............

Can't decide on a reference card or one with 2 fans..........help?

Plus 2GB VRAM! :)

I would wait for the Sapphire, as if you're going to overclock a cooler, quieter solution if a lot more important.
