I am a total noob to overclocking however my 1600mhz rated ram is running at 10666. How can I get it running at my full potential? Also does anyone have any basics for overclocking with std heatsink and fan?
I'd say the 900% odd overclock you've got going is bloody impressive, but if I take my pedent hat off;
overclocking is normally done through the BIOS which you can enter when the computer boots up by pressing F2 or del depending. More often than not if you google your motherboard model and 'overclocking' you'll get some really good gides on which setting you need.
Running the RAM at a higher speed than the rest of the computer is done using what is known as a divider and has some overhead associated with it (you won't get the full gain).
After that little intro I'll have to bow out and let the experienced AMD clockers come and explain in more detail.
