How to Spot A Xbox 360 With a Falcon Chip And Why You Should.................

Woohoo I bought my pro last week and just had a looksee at the box before the girlfriend wraps the puppy up and I'm ready to go with 175w!
Thank you that man! :D

I don't have a box for my new one, it was a console for console swap, so I don't know :(.
Plug it into a 175w psu and see if it powers up...

Im sure we have already discussed this in another thread already anyway, sticker an all.

maybe not but a cooler running chip will certainly last longer and considering all the failures thats certainly a step in the right direction surely :D

The Falcon chipped models have a much less chance of failing due to aluminum heat sinks and uses much less power so will be a lot quieter.

Lol that is the poorest explanation ever. Oh yeah great, aluminium heatsinks? Just like the Zephyr chipped consoles! Oh and MUCH less power, damn yeah 28w thats gonna save the trees, and apprently less power makes less noise? Work that one out guys seen as its the dvd drive, not the fans which makes the majority of the noise, and its still pot luck what drive you get.

There is a significant amount of variation in noise levels between each xbox when idling in dashboard.

Mine is really noisy and i even replaced the fans for Talismoon ones.

Id love a silent in dashboard 360. When Im playing games it can be as noisy as it wants.

I'm not challenging that, im saying the majority of the noise is from the dvd drive, so its not gonna make a difference if your fans are on less, because you could still end up with a chuffing loud dvd drive.

As there are 4 or 5 different manfactured drives, all different noise levels its still luck whether you get a quiet or loud 360.
