I'm not challenging that, im saying the majority of the noise is from the dvd drive, so its not gonna make a difference if your fans are on less, because you could still end up with a chuffing loud dvd drive.

As there are 4 or 5 different manfactured drives, all different noise levels its still luck whether you get a quiet or loud 360.

I wouldnt ever consider any 360 to be quiet when playing a game. I see the drive noise as irrelevant as they are all bad.

hence most of them being played through kick ass 5.1/6.1 DD setups with the volume cranked up so loud it blasts you further away from the xbox LOL
