How to spot fake Sata SSDs?

Thanks everyone. Yeah it was the seller with 97.5% positive feedback, established 2020. Only 3 for that item, but all positive. Like was pointed out another 2 Chinese sellers on there with the same pricing structure and one has that negative review, didn't know this at the time.

I've tried to cancel with seller and ebay. So should hopefully go through. EBay says even if its shipped they will pay for postage back on my behalf.

What can I say, I'm not the same person I was this morning lol.

Well seller ignored my messages and Ebay delisted his page but didn't stop it being "dispatched" and they certainly didn't refund me.

So they are telling me to check back in on the 17th and any import taxes and shipping back they will pay. I also reported the other two sellers selling the same drives at the same price points... lets see if they do anything.

So get the popcorn ready as it seems likely something will be arriving, before it goes back. Photos will be interesting lol.

They probably want proof they items are fraudulent, but now I think about it returns were accepted on the listing so sounds more like a them problem.

in other news I woke up today to see a refund has been issued but no communication from the seller. If the drives do actually arrive we will investigate together!

I still think ebay is a good place to buy drives from. Just got a SN850x 4TB new OEM for £200. Brand new and 5 year warranty (registered serial number). But yeah lesson learned, would never buy anything from China like this.

Even with an established account and very little negative feedback? (And nothing but positive for this item specifically. 77 sold.

Got good buyer protection so thought worth a chance. In my head it's unwanted bulk business purchase lol.
Could have been an exit scam.

Sell a few devices at low markup, get good reviews and then sell 200 items, cash out and run.

The price you mentioned is obviously a scam.

I would talk to eBay on live chat, tell them they have refunded you and ask if you need to return the items to the seller - chances are they will say no, but at least you have black and white proof if the seller gets shirty.
