How to WheelSpin an Automatic?

He means the turbo should be on full boost by about 2200revs so there is certainly something wrong with yours as a normal one would start to run out of puff around 3500-4000revs.

Ah yeah Thanks Dan, I know something wrong. Happend last time, after I gave it for servicing car was sluggish. Going to get it up to a Diagnostic sometime next week and get it all repaired.

My car won't wheelspin in the dry, TC on or off, in the wet, give it loads of lock, turn off the TC & hoof it. :D

the 220cdi would be on boost from at least 1.5krpm

id say, get the car fixed... or get a 320cdi

with 360lbft, the tyres have no idea what do to. i cremated a set in 2 days, i think ive got pics of them somewhere.

tbh, after that experiance, id say wait for it to rain, much easier to get the car sideways, wont kill the tyres in two days (they were P6000s so deserved it)

Nah, next plan is to get a C55 AMG but that will have to wait a year or so. I love this car so much, stick's to road like a brick. Even with it's problem it shifts easy, managed to beat a Jaguar XType 2.2TD Estate today.

I'll have to go somewhere safe like a empty car park, hope it rains on the weekend :D

do it when it has rained otherwise you will kill the tyres and youll regret it. it is a good laugh... i was wetting my pants when the massive barge of a E320cdi was doing neat figures of 8 etc but i did it in the dry lol

Generally speaking, Bricks dont tend to stick to roads. They skid across quite easily..

Even accounting for the likelyhood of the average Jaguar X-Type diesel estate driver wanting to race, and the even less likelyhood of the Jaguar X-Type diesel picking a Mercedes C220 diesel as his rival, that Jag is not exactly fast so this isn't exactly an acheivement :p

Well, stuck like hot rubber to hot tarmac :p

Considering he looked to be a lad in his 20's, he was giving it some. I've manged to keep up with my mates '01 525TDS BMW. However that is one quick car. :o;)

They stopped producing the 525TDS in 98 and no, it absolutely wasn't quick, it was even slower than the 520 :p even the Commonrail 525d from 2000 onwards didnt set the world on fire.

Stop racing slow cars :p

You sure? Sure it's a 525Tds, probably a d then. I've had a sit in his 525 and it is quick. I never race slow cars :(.

525TDS was the old-school diesel version of the E39. It was discontinued in 1998, and the 530d replaced it. The 530d is reasonably quick.

When the range was facelifted at the end of 2000, the 160bhp 525d, also commonrail like the 530d, was introduced. 160bhp in a 1700kg car does not, however, set the world on fire.

It's really not quick, honest :p

Yeah 160BHP, mine has 143BHP. I think the torque in my car is 315nm or 325, something along that.

Seriously it's quick, it just feels like you're flying when you're sat inside it.

EDIT: I'm racing slow cars :D? What's a fast car then? I need info people!
