peugeot 306 gti-6

Its already fine as it is but if I have to then.....

Full respray in the same colour (China blue) best paint EVER.
all the seat retrimmed in better leather and new alcantara
Alcantara headlining and a RCZ-R steeing wheel in alcantara
Cover the dashboard and all other plastic surfaces in leather

Shell would be seamwelded, All external panels replaced with carbon and (but painted)
Engine would be increased to a 2.3 and throttle bodies fitted with a custom carbon airbox
Block would be rebuilt by an engineering placed out of magnesium and dry sumped then moved down about 3 inches.
Forged crank pistons and conrods etc

Exhaust manifold and exhaust would be made out of Inconel

Ohlins dampers all round.
Beam tube replaced with one made from titanium , same for torsion bars.
Would get 16" wheels made as replicas of the 15 inch ones it came with but lighter metal used. Maybe magnesium

Forged aluminium wishbones and hubs made
Brembos from Citroen C2r2 rally car fitted (magnesium)
Gearbox out be kept the same ratios but with a longer 6th
Lsd fitted

Basically would then make sure it looked absolutely standard and didn't sound louder and would refit the same exhaust tip

I reckon that would cost about 60k

I have absolutely no idea, I would imagine £100,000 would go a long way on a Mk4 Golf and then it would still handle like a beach ball full of blancmange.

It's going in for an MOT end of the month so will get them replaced. Roughly how much should I be looking at for parts and labour?

I got Lemforder upper and lower front control arms for about £300 all in. They are the best choice. Totally fixed my shimmy under braking.

Insight. Probably shoot for a blown k24 with nitrous and go for the fastest FWD car in Europe or something daft. Or something like a tesla drive motor into the engine bay with 40kWh of batteries as something of a project car with wireless charging on the drive.

The MINI countryman S.... Errm really. Guess you could get hold of some WRC old kit and get the body modded to take it the suspension and engine and then take the restrictor off!

I really need to remedy it once and for all. Replaced calipers, front discs and pads and it keeps reoccurring. 300 smackers plus labour a couple hours (at a guess) isn't the end of the world. I'll spec the parts on ECP.

For the Capri I'd probably have it professionally restored with an X-Pack kit fitted rather than me doing it and bin the Cosworth V6 & have it swapped for an aluminium Ford 302 along with an independent rear suspension setup & far more expensive brakes etc than I can currently afford.

The change would be spent on keeping it in decent condition for the next 50+ years.

For the Mondeo, I don't think I'd want to spend £100k on an 11 year old Mondeo TDCi.

Short of having everything custom-made and attempting to fit an R8 V10 engine, then proceeding to dip the car in liquid platinum, I don't think it is possible to spend £100,000. :o

The remaining £50K will be required for fuel and insurance. :p

Toyota Celica ST205.
-Engine 5SGTE 2.2 with as many WRC parts I can muster. Not too crazy on the power. Most likely around 600BHP region.
-Controlled by Motec.
-Full custom Quaife 6 speed dog box
-Active center diff. LSD front and uprated 1.5 LSD in rear.
-Rocket type antilag system as used in the Subaru WRC cars.
-Remote reservoir Teins.
-Full roll cage and seam welded chassis while still retaining interior.
-Full WRC inter and engine cooling setup.
-OZ Roulette rally wheels wrapped up in the best 235 width rubber money can buy.
-Custom Big brake kit. Most likely 6 pot front and 4 pot rear.
-All engine mounts etc remade from light weight materials to shift as much as possible from the front to the rear.

Not much change from that. Might have to ditch the active diffs and just have a center one with LSD's on the others as it might just creep over budget with those!

600BHP, active center diff, 1200kg kerb weight and anti lag. All wrapped up in a classic sexy body :)

On the Firebird, I would:

Spend £10k+ on a paint job (possibly original colours, ie Nightshade Green with Ivory vinyl roof)
Spend £1k on the interior in its original colour (Ivory "deluxe" interior)
Spend £20k+ on a 572 crate motor (700 bhp n/a) - or possibly a slightly lower-powered one that doesnt require 110 octane!
Plus - discs all round, new exhaust, boot lining, centre console, rechrome front bumper, refurb the steering wheel, and the countless other minor jobs I need to get round to doing!
