I did an almost identical spec Ether albeit with a wifi card as he requested one and I used an LED not LCD for the same price ;)

FSX does favour Nvidia fella so the 660 kind of makes sense. That's a tough budget for what you are asking, you should consider using the windows 8 Enterprise (evaluation) Edition for free on a 3 month trial. This gives you £80 back now to put into parts. Windows 8.1 will be a service pack of sorts and it will add back the start menu, it too should get a preview to try out. You can then buy an OS later in the year having made an informed decision.

+1

He wanted a BenQ monitor so gave it to him ;)

Infact if I had skimped and used the X20 optical drive it would have been under £800. He also wants an OS and yes I've mentioned the Windows 8 Evaluation already. In short that's as good as anyone can spec for a overclockable rig really.

cool thats why im here for advice so will take it, just one thing,so in three months time i will have to pay for a os ?

on the board has audio built onboard so no but if you wanted a better quality audio a sound card is a wise investment as they last most people a number of build's.
