HP LP2475w, IPS 24" Official Thread! (Now Available from OcUK)

What is this with wide gamut isue? I know I had LENOVO 220X with WIDE GAMUT and couldn't get my eyes use to watch it normally....I now have LG L2000C S-IPS.

The 2475 doesn't have the internal LUT, so that calibration will just be graphics card (and any OSD changes requested by the calibration softare).

Ah I thought it did as it's wide gamut? Does that mean the Hazro 26" does not have it either ?

The only IPS panels I know of with the internal LUT are the NEC 24 (not available in Europe), 26 and 30" top of the range models, and the newly released HP DreamColour 2480 (~£2000).

Hazro have been talking about internal LUT on the 26 and 30" models but I think that's in the next revision.

The 2475 is meant to have fairly good controls (and lower input lag), including an sRGB mode. Looking at the dE and the black point it's capable of some decent colour accuracy - despite its wide-gamut origins.

It's also got the very latest 24" IPS panel from LG.Display in there.

that is a very impressive blackpoint reading for the LP2475W, and again looks very VA-esque to me. If it is indeed using H-IPS, then that's very good, has anyone actually confirmed officially which panel is being used? the LG.Display panel mentioned here has a differeing spec to the actual monitor which seems strange to me.

Guess I will find out soon as should have the LP2475w for review soon :)

ps, mrk, no hardware LUT adjustment on the HZ26Wi. Think it's a plan for the future

Some people over at a forum that is hard have confirmed the panel through the service menu as being the LM240WU4, which is the brand new for 2008 24" S-IPS panel from LG.Display (take a look at their parts catalog PDF on the website). People have also confirmed through visual tests that it's not a *VA.

cool, ill take a look at that thread, if it's from service menu, thats great. I know the panel part, it's actually been in their catalogue for a fair amount of time, but their website is not updated a lot. Will check it for myself soon too and confirm back here with finding :)

it will be with me next Wed, so depends on how long it takes me to put it through it's paces :) should be within the next 2 weeks, but could prob answer specific questions as of next Wed

As usual, lag and an idea of how bad the wide colour problem is.

Many thanks
