**HP OMEN 32 WQHD Gaming Monitor With AMD FreeSync Technology** A light in the quality control dark

This seems to be exactly what I am after. Do we have any idea if OCUK will stock them ? Just need somewhere with reasonable returns in case of issues.

I wanted a screen with proper quality control at a reasonable price backed up by a firm that stand by it's products. After buying a few top of the line monitors and receiving less than B grade screens and frankly **** poor customer service, HP have delivered on quality, features and price. I didn't want to take the chance on a retailer again, so bought direct from HP backed by an extended warranty with HP thrown in for free. Fingers crossed I never have to find out how good the warranty is, but it can't be worse than what I've already received and it's a point to point agreement between me and HP.

24 hours later... HP have passed my enquiry about whether this model has PWM onto their tech team. Not heard anything beyond that.

Which makes me suspicious that they've cut a corner :(

I'm not sure if the BL is PWM, but if it is I can't see any strobe even with the brightness turned way past the point it's useless.

If the screen is PWM it's a very high frequency PWM.

I watched that, was interested up until he said he was unable to notice any difference between 75hz and 144hz and believed no one really would be able to. Then my interest and trust in his words when to 0.

I'd challenge anyone to notice any improvement over 80-90Hz to be fair.

How far would you think you need to sit away from these i sit about 2 1/2 foot away from my monitor....do you think this would be too big for that.

Decided its just to big for me think ill get a 27 or 28 inch

I'm probably sitting about 50-70cm back and it's fine. They're big screens screens but not as huge as I was expecting. I think for my desk I could go to about 37-40"

I cant see any variation in uniformity when its a static image, its only when panning back and forth across a grayish background that I can just about make them out

When I was checking for uniformity I didn't see anything. The level of uniformity was something I checked because of the size of the screen. Both of mine seem excellent.

I might have to try with a moving image just to see if I can notice anything. I think you'd have to look really closely.

Well it's been around a month now and I'm really happy with both screens. I'm going to order 2 more.

If you're looking for a quality screen packed with features the OMEN 32 is excellent.

No problems so far and the monitor is as well suited to gaming as it is for everything else. You have the option of FreeSync off/on and 75hz so should work fine over DP.
