No, being serious for a minute I actually haven't ordered 6. It's no way worth risking them at £480 a pop, blimey.

I'm poised to get some if they do drop the price though, as I suspect are millions of others!

My bet is that everyone who wants one will get one, the fact that they have said, come here at 10 on Friday suggests that they want the word out so that people buy them. A major phone launch warrants a couple hundred thousand units at least, going to get 2, one for me and one for mum.

I'm debating whether I should stay at the computer to be able to check their website as soon as it launches, or head down to CPW just before opening time to see if they have some. Worried that, even though the website will obviousy have a lot more stock, it'll crash down from demand again.

Will they distribute them to all stores? Considering how quick they're going to sell I wouldn't be surprised if it was only online and maybe in a few of the really big stores.

I'll be more than a little miffed if any of the rumours regarding the Pre3's being bought up in bulk for contract only sales become a reality. I've avoided being on contract for a couple of years now and have no intention of returning

I'd imagine if they're going down the contract route they'll sell much slower but I'd imagine there's more money there for CPW to make from it.

Hopefully they sell them without a contract though, otherwise I'm definitely not getting one.

You could always do both - take a laptop to the nearest coffee shop/pub/etc to CPW that has free wi-fi and nip over to the store if the site is overloaded.
Or take it a step further - CPW generally have wifi in store so get there a bit early and use one of their netbooks.

Well, it's still possible to order one SIM-free on their website (I ordered one yesterday, will return if they don't refund the price difference) so I doubt they'd only sell on contract in-store.

Don't know why but that seemed like a really funny, obsessive image to me, a guy queueing up in CPW to buy a Pre while shopping for a Pre on his netbook!

It is worth noting that a lot of stores did not receive any HP Pre 3

No doubt. There's like 3-4 stores near my house... :rolleyes:

I'll only try the largest one myself (although one dude in one of the smaller ones seemed to be a lot more clued in about it).

BTW, it seems a lot of Americans are also buying UK/EU Pres. Leaving fewer for those of us who really want one
